Well, this was the second time I tore this rifle down for Duracoat. Tried WWII OD Green in the spray can, was too shiny, drove me out of my mind. Loved the color, still do, kinda bummed, could NOT take the shine any more. I didn't even want to shoot it. It was getting me down.
Thanks to you guys in this forum, I stripped it using Klean-Strip Aircraft Paint Remover, which is unbelievable until you see it, and refinished using ultra flat tactical OD Green Duracoat. Not the green I originally aimed for, but the MOE+ grip matches now.
PSA CHF upper, Stag lower, Spikes BCG, BCM Gunfighter Mod4 CH, Spike's carry handle (set aside the WWII OD Green Colt carry handle, cause I forgot to strip it, it had krylon over the orginal duracoat, and the new durcoat over that, sanding between each, but I don't think it's really durable that way). Colt trigger and takedown pins, rest is CMMG/DPMS hodgepodge small parts LPK, KNS pins, Bravo B5.
PSA handguards are the original black takeoffs, discarded the BCM's that had WWII OD Green due to difficulty stripping the B5, upper and lower all new Duracoat.
Now it's not shiny, and much more palatable.

thank you, I'm glad someone else likes it, too! Just zeroed it in, stripped and refinished Friday, dried 24 hrs, reassembled and zeroed, 3 days.
