| What is the best way to keep acetone from evaporating so fast. I have a steel vat that is 5x5x5x40. It has a lid that fits pretty tight but I'm losing about 3/4 of a gallon every 10 days. |

Mix it with mineral spirits. Depending on what you are cleaning, you could also mix in transmission fluid.
Google up some Ed's Red. Of course, I see your container is 4th dimensional. That is like dividing by zero. This concoction may set of a thermonuclear reaction.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm using it to prep for cerakote. Will Ed's Red work for cerakote? Go buy some methanol fuel and use it instead. It is super cheap and works just like acetone. I have a couple of 5 gallon buckets with screw on lids that I take with me to the racing fuel store and get 3 gallons put in each. You can thank me later! |
