What all can be used to plug the breech and muzzle of a gun prior to blasting and coating?

Electrical tape; rolled to form round wedge, ball to fill barrel extension, and more tape to seal over top of that.

Will hold up to SHORT blast from bead blasting but not long hard hits.  Oh yea... what is the mussel of the gun (isn't spiel check fun)?

Rubber cork at the muzzle and electrical tape around the barrel extension. I also use small round stickers to cover the gas port. If your gas block is tight then just tape off that section. I also tape over the muzzle threads which will keep you from having to find a small rubber cork. 120 AO @ 60-80psi should be fine. The electrical tape is pretty tough if you keep your gun moving. I'll usually rinse with hot water and Simple Green. Blast the water out with air then heat it in my oven until completely dry. After that I will spray it down with Acetone and re-tape before painting.

Silicon plugs and caps work great.

I bought the plug kit from NIC. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth every cent.
