I'm gonna be running my first batch of some rather small parts. And had a few simple questions about the baking process. I understand some bake on coatings will leave an horrible stink inside the oven and don't wanna trash my wife's oven. Is Cerakote different in that manner? Also is it okay to bake them in a gas fired oven or does it need to be electric. I just don't have the cash on hand right now to buy a proper curing oven. If need be I can get my hands on some used 30" and 36" electric ovens for almost nothing.
Thanks.

My ovens smell but they are used everyday. Once or twice you should be fine. You will smell it when you bake it so its probably best if she isnt home while you do it. What heats the oven isnt as important as correct temp and insuring there are no hot or cold spots in oven. Never trust the thermostat always use a good temp gauge inside the oven.
