| Apologies if this has been addressed before. I have just completed cold blueing a pistol slide and was wondering whether there are any additional steps I can take to improve the durability of the finish? Oven heating? Polishes? Clear laquer spray? Any suggestions welcome |

You can try wax. Its not great, but the price is right. Whatever brand you use on your car will do. Or Johnson Paste Wax if you can find any. Rennaissance is a popular brand, and Flitz also markets a wax.
It can be re-applied cheaply on a regular basis. Its the best advice I can offer. |
