I found a new(to me) firearm finish called ceracoat, made by NIC industries.

The thermal cured finish is used almost the same as moly resin, There is a hardener that gets mixed with the finish though. competitor 1 and 2 are gunkoat and duracoat... the results speek for themself. I just got some of the grapphite black and will be refinishing stuff.

Its about $35 for 4 OZ, enough to do 4 complete handguns or 2 complete long guns.

Maybe you'd recognize it as old news if you learned how to spell it.
