I've recently been thinking about applying a camo pattern to my AR, and I've been looking for a camo pattern that is more of a geometric patterns of straight lines, triangles, etc., similar to the patterns that were applied to the sides of warships between WWI and WWII (called "dazzle" camouflage). I'm not sure if that's the route I want to go, but I haven't found anyone who offers that type of pattern. Has anyone seen something like that?

Inspired by the "dazzle" pattern... my very first rattle can attempt at camo.  No4 MkI SMLE in .45-70.  Apologies for the poor quality of the picture

To achieve the effect, just use blue painters tape....

This isnt' really urban camo colors but I thought the pattern might be what you are interested in.  I had never seen it before until Dawg180 posted a thread on it about a month ago.

You mean like this?

When I first saw it I had trouble IDing WTF I was looking at. I'd love to see pics of that pattern used in the field.

BSW-

Yeah, that's the idea. I might just design something myself, with more acute angles and non-parallel lines with shades of black, white, gray and maybe a little blue.

Definitely interested in seeing what might come up.

ETA: A little google searching brought this up:

Dazzle Camo

Looks pretty good to me.
