I bought a Marlin 981T and it has some pitting on it and I want to refinish it.  I have Krylon and wanted to know what I need to do to prep it and any advice.  It has a blued finish and I want to make it have a nice camo pattern.  Thanks for your help and I can't wait to post pics.

Personally, I would not use Krylon on the metal. Use Duracoat or one of the other spray on finishes.

I just degrease, tape off and go.  I finish with a clear coat.  Holds up fine for the price.  It's easy to strip and redo.

just don't forget to degrease and tape off the stuff you don't want painted and I think it;s pretty hard to screw up from there.
