[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Best Cold Blue?

Anybody have a recommendation for a cold blue? Got a $20 Sxs and just want something to make it look purdy. I've used Birchwood Caseys Blue and super blue. Also what can you do with a case colored reciever?I don't want to spray any of it.

I've had good luck with Brownells Oxpho-Blue.

I just ordered some of Brownells Oxypho Blue yesterday. Found a good thread from a die hard hot blue guy that found that applying it with steel wool made a pretty durable finish.

What can I do with the rusty case colored stuff? Polish it and try to blue?

The barrels look like a candidate for rust blue, in my opinion.

The receiver doesn't look bad at all.
