Any guys have experience with Hydrographic finishes on their AR's?  I'm thinking about having one of my done in a RealTree at a local place and was wondering how well it would hold up.

Seen a lot of water fowl guns that have been shot hard and put up wet.  Pun intended.  The finish does wear and scratch, but it really repels water well.  I'd talk to the manufacturer about how the finish it handles heat if you intend to have the whole gun, barrel included, dipped.  Remington's R-15 seems to be lacking the camo on the barrel.

It works well at repelling moisture, but extreme heat makes it bubble and flake off.  You can have Dura-Heat (a kind of dura-coat) applied to the barrel it you're worried about burning off the finish.
