Looking to re-finish a Benelli M1S90 Entry Shotgun.

It was Black from the factory (anodized receiver, park'd barrel). The previous owner Duracoated it in Tan, and I've never been a huge fan on how the Tan looks.

I want to re-finish it in flat-black.

I've looked into Duracoat - but I've had some people inform me that it'll turn brown with use/heat.
I've also looked into the Aluma-Hyde finish from brownells, but don't know too much about it.

What are your guys's experience?  This shotgun gets used a lot, including in 3 gun matches and other 'activities'

Well, looks like I was informed wrong about Duracoat.

Just read this forum till my eyes want to bleed, and it seems like it holds up great for everyone.

Now to figure out what color.....

Black is the first one that came to mind, but after seeing some of these multi cam jobs... holy crap I have the itch to do something like that.

How hard is it to bust out a multi cam job that looks respectable?  I wouldn't mind getting my hand on a few templates to print out.

Bulldog arms has stencils that are pretty inexpensive and work great. Duracoat will turn brown when you REALLY heat the firearm up. Im talking about seriously hot. I needed to run 90 rounds thru my AK47 in about one minute to get it hot enough to burn the duracoat off. I shot 90 rounds in about 5 minutes and it didnt discolor the duracoat at all. If you are going to punish your firearm and run it non stop you might want to consider durabake. For most applications regular duracoat is fine. Its not magical, but its great stuff.
Digicam is not hard, Im pretty lame , check the tacked topic on my dissapators to see a step by step basic digital camo pattern using duracoat and bulldog stencils
