I want to refinish a Star model BM pistol. I have been leaning toward cold blueing using Oxpho blue from Brownells, but I would like to see results with different brands before deciding. Any pics or advice would be appreciated.

Degrease and repeat. I found that a dabber works the best for me. Cover everything while wet.

Warm the parts with a hair dryer prior to applying the Oxpho blue. Will help even out the color.

I'm wondering if I should strip existing blue or cold blue over it?
