[ARCHIVED THREAD] - KG flat grey....

Well I recently rebuilt the M-4 with a Noveske lower I picked up. I used KG's Flat grey. It is a little lighter than I was thinking and I am trying to decide if I should keep it or go darker a darker grey.

All of the green furniature is KG flat olive drab as well baked at 200 degrees for 2 hours.

I like it...have you tried the titanium gray? I have been debating which colors to order from KG. Are you also using their K Phos product prior to airbrushing?

I have not tried the Ti gray or the KPhos yet. The nextr big rpoject is going to be an ACOG with the KG Air Cure. I will let everyone know how that goes.

I dont understand why it matters how perfect it looks but your rifle looks fine, shoot it.

Once you head down the refinishing road a simple color change is very easy so that plays into the decision. As far as shooting it, this thing has tens of thousands of rounds through it. In fact this is the second barrel I have put on this rifle.

I like it! I think I'll pick some up for the 458 SOCOM I'm building.

This is the Ti-Gray with Foliage Green and I thought they would both be darker when I ordered them.

I made this custom gray with the flat gray (which from what I understand from KG is supposed to match colt) and white pigment. I was going or an HK gray look.
