Has anyone received RMA or had their helmet upgraded yet? I corresponded with Ops Core a few months ago, and was told September. I just emailed asking for status, but am curious if others have had any recent activity. |

Sorry, but I don't have any details other than there is a recall for upgrading the liner. I believe I read something about an incident where the helmet didn't meet the expected/required protection. I realize this isn't a ballistic helmet, but assume it didn't meet "bump" standards. Mine is merely a platform for NODs, but I'd like the upgrade anyway. I have a few emails from Diane at Ops Core, but nothing lately. I'll post here when I get a response to my most recent inquiry.
Perhaps TNVC, or someone more up-to-speed, can provide more information. |

They claim they've never had a problem but wanted to up the impact level. I took it to mean that some organizations wouldn't buy them because the impact level wasn't certified to that minimum. |

I'll have to compare. |

Received a prompt reply this morning, stating that they'll be contacting me in a few weeks with return information. I'll continue to update this thread as this transpires. Interested in the outcome of this. Have two of these. I stopped by their booth at AUSA this week and checked out the FAST BUMP they had out for exhibit. It had what looked like the lux worm dial liner kit in it. Full styrofoam liner, better pads, worm dial, etc. The rep said they upgraded the bump because folks were jumping them and figuring out it did not have the required impact rating and they were configured like that now. Asked the rep if there was a retrofit program for existing units and he advised to buy the lux liner... |
| Received another email today, requesting most of the same information that I'd previously provided (name, address, phone, helmet model, s/n, etc). Supposedly, Ops-core will review/process the information & notify with shipping info. The email described a difference in fitment with the upgrade; replacing pads, chinstrap & headband, & mentioned that they would return original pads & such with the upgraded helmet. I replied promptly, so we'll see what happens. |

Broke the shit outta that helmet and NOD mount but I'm still ticking...a little more forgetful though Cushy pads are nice but the impact protection improvement is essential. |
