Could somebody who has as i2 unit please measure it's height from the top of the picatinny rail to the top of the housing?

Without a bunch of replacement parts or a new rail, I'm concerned about my optical scope field of view being partially occluded if the DBAL is too tall.

Thanks for your help.

What glass you running? It shouldn't be an issue. Anything 4X or higher you can barely even see a front sight base unless you're actually looking for it.

Hell most of the mil runs a 4X ACOG, FSB, and PEQ-15. And the front sight base is much taller than a dbal.

I'll see if I can't get a measurement in the morning but I can't use the i2 on the 12 clock rail with my weaver grand slam in a LaRue mount.

I'm running a 4-14x50 IOR Valdada optical scope in a Larue SPR-E LT139 or an IR Defense MkII Hunter (interchangeably) -  and given the measurements I have for the i2 it looks like it would block up to almost half of the field of view of the 4-14 optical.

The front sight base thing is something I considered, but I'm unclear on exactly how much of the field of view can be blocked before image degradation rears it's ugly head.

Thanks for the brain-trust.

Use it with a TA11 in a Larue mount, no problems
