How do you like it?

Is it something to leave on all the time or only when I'm going to be actually using the pvs14?

Can I still attach the daylight cover?

Probably going to be ordering today

I use the Tarsier Eclipse and like it.  Infinite adjustment and it doubles as a daytime cap when its all the way closed.

Should have saved up the extra  70$ for that....the rapid refocus ring is WAY to flimsy for any field work

The eclipses are expensive, but they work really well as a sacrificial lense, and you can focus on anything due to the infinitely variable shutter.

They do slightly block the integrated IR light, but those are kinda useless anyways.

A butler creek flip cap with a pinhole 4-7mm in diameter will do a similar task for under 20$

You can use a 5.56 projectile  heated up in some vicegripsto make a 5.5mm hole or a 7.62 projectile to make one slightly larger.

+1 for tarsir eclispe.  It works great when moving from dark to area with street lights by simply twist to tighten aperture.  It also helps with focusing when filming videos & taking pics

Do you use a FMJ bullet or a empty shell?

The projectile part - it's 5.5mm diameter (smarty pants reloader will be along shortly with the true diameter)

You could use an empty casing as long as the hole in the end seems sufficiently round, it will be slightly larger.
