This is my first post. I have been a member for a little while. Short intro. I'm Mike 12 yr Navy vet, avid shooter and night vision enthusiast. I have an NVD Micro Monocular I'm extremely impressed with it and have had no problems with it. The tube is a mil-spec ult from NVD. SNR 32.3. , EBI .6 , HALO .9 , PR 2533 , RES 64. Would love to get a PVS-14 with as close to the tube specs I have for the micro. My question is do any of you folks know who would have one?

Those are like super tube specs. Filmless tube ?? Call TNVC and they can hand select a tube for you but matching those specs may take some time. Pretty special tube you have in your Micro. I have had higher spec tubes but they were filmless.

They are reasonably common. Most of use who have them look around to obtain ENVIS lenses and upgrade them - A Micro + ENVIS lens makes a great combination.

How do I attach photos to a post? I am new at posting , I'm using my android phone.

You need image hosting - I like www.imgur.com

Take the pictures with your android, and upload to imgur, from thr drop-down menu that says "link" select "bbcode" and copy-then-paste the link including the bbcode tags that will look like [ img]xxxx url x [ /img]

I'll try that.

Is there a better way to post pics. This is not working for me. It's frustrating and I'm not computer nor smartphone savvy.

If you put [.img.] before each pics web address (remove the . from before and after the image) and [./img.] after each pic web address (again removing the . before and after the /img) the pic will show up in the post and not the web address of the pic.

That's a pretty sweet tube you have in that NVM.

Thanks. I'm satisfied with the tube. I did have a comspec tube before that had an snr of 28.4

on the IMGUR site for each pic there is a link at the bottom of the pic named "get embed codes".  When you click it you get a box on the side with different URL's for different sites.  Select the one for BBCode and then paste it in your message here.

This is what it will look like (delete the . before and after the img and /img)
[,img,]http://i.imgur.com/YES38Wd.jpg[,/img,]

and this is without the .

You just need to add the [/img] closing tag on the end of that and it should work.

Thanks again. I am greatful. Ever since I was active duty I wanted my own nvd. The first device I ever had use was the big honking AN/PVS-5.

Which ironically enough were the basis for the first monos when they hit the civillian market... It was much more profitable to chop a set of 5's in two and make two monos than sell one dual-goggle. Then the army finally caught on and a few years later the PVS-14 was born...

Thanks for the info. I checked out your post on cheaper NVD's. Very informative. I started out with the Russian 1st Gen units. HT3-1, and the Baigish 6 which was advertised to be a Gen 2 device, turned out not to be a Gen 2. My Micro was not cheap. They are now just as much if not more than a PVS 14. I spent a total of $4095.65. No bs I did spend that.
