| Can a peq 2a be disassembled? A buddy left alkaline batteries in his and they leaked. Cleaned corrosion out and still doesn't work. I can't find any screws and it appears the end is glued on. Are these things meant to be thrown away? Thought I may try a heat gun to see if the glue will release before the plastic melts. Any ideas? |

The battery thing happened to a friend of mine. He is really anal and cleaned every square millimeter on the inside of the battery housing, but the unit was draining batteries within days. I found him new battery caps and after he installed them he did not report having any further issues with the batteries draining.
