Replaced it with a LaRue I got used off the EE. Mounts the light higher for less interference with the Peltor's and the QD makes it easy to use off the helmet. The VTAC functions perfectly well, I just happen to like the LaRue setup better. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y54/USPcompact/Mobile%20Uploads/image-6.jpg What kind of mounts are those holding the headset on? |

It makes them more flexible for helmet mounted (most all the time), handheld (every once in a while), or weapon mounted (rarely). I ended up using some ARMS #22L that were spare in the parts box. There are also some LT719 in the spares box, but I haven't bothered swapping since the status quo works so well. If one does not intend to remove it from the helmet, there are much less expensive, lighter weight, and more streamlined options such as the VTAC. I also much prefer clickie tailcaps for this application versus the factory twist caps, although I am not sure if SF makes the green ones any more. Z59 (black) will work just fine for the non-"fashion conscious".
