2 a.m. today.  He was between 40 and 50yd away.  UTAC-32M in front of Nikon M223 2-8x on 6.8 SPC AR.  Nikon set on 2x. I didn't know he was right in front of a plastic 55 gallon 1/2 barrel that had been heated by the sun, so it looked huge through the thermal.  A smaller hog was present that added to the illusion of largeness.  I don't care about that; I'm proud as can be.  He weighed 75 pounds.  He's been cut up and is soaking in a salt brine prior to going to the processor.

Here's a gag photo in which I'm standing slightly back to make the hog look larger.

Chest exit hole of the Hornaday 120gr SST bullet.  Sure did a lot of damage.

Haha, loved the "gag" photo, great way to make a 75 pounder looker like a Big Un!

I had that same scale that maxed out at 440 pounds, sure enough it busted when I hooked up a 475 pounder to it and let the front end loader of the tractor down to see how much he weighed, entire scale disintegrated into pieces....

Congrats on the hog though, there are allot more where he came from for sure.

I'm retired, so I wore some old dark work clothes so I could better blend in with the shadows.  When I'm hunting at night I wear dark gloves (not the yellow pictured!) and a face covering to conceal my white beard.  This was my 13th time out trying for a pig...not complaining, as it's another opportunity to hunt.

Well, don't you mean you're retired, except for the evening of December 24?

Now we know what you do the other 364 days of the year.

Shhh...don't tell anyone that Santa hunts hogs on his "off time".  The "PC" people might have a fit!
