| looking for a mount, I would like something more solid and more adjustable then the rhino mount. Looking at the Wilcox L4 g11....is this a good one, or do you need to go all out to get something decent? I got pretty frustrated with the norotos rhino mount today.....guess I should have listened to others and got a decent one. |

I have posted this before; helmet mount selection is a highly individualized consideration. Ask yourself the following questions before making a significant $$$ mistake:
1) Do you prefer bayonet or dovetail type interface? 2) Do you prefer force-to-overcome or push button release for raising/lowering the device? 3) Do you prefer the fine pitch control to be on the left or right side? 4) Do you consider breakaway an advantage or disadvantage? 5) Do you find vertical adjustment an advantage; if so, do you prefer screw or lever type? 6) Do you prefer the eye relief adjustment to be a single lever on the left side or a squeeze function on both sides? 7) Do you prefer the helmet release to be on the right side or the left side? 8) How important is overhead clearance to you when the device is raised? 9) How important is ease of swapping from left to right eye? The equipment selections are fundamentally different; what works great for some totally sucks for others, and vice versa. Hope this helps. |

I mounted my xbox to the back of my helmet and I use voice commands to lower, raise, move my NVG's in and out, and to replace the batteries.
