Which one do you like better just curious?  I've owned both, but my Russian scope died before I could do a side-by-side.

Well I think they are about the same. The 1PN34 seems to be a bit better though. I think the Isreali PVS-2 has seen alot of use. I am sure the Russians copied off of PVS-2s captured in Vietnam. The 1PN34 is Russian made for the East German Army and has not been used very much or at all when I recieved it. Came in the original transit case and all assesories. Purchased from a guy in Norway online. Its really cool. The PVS-2 came from what a country. Wonder why the serial numbers are obliterated on the PVS-2. Maybe part of the Iseali DRMO process?

My commie scope had a decent image but had lots of geometric distortion... and then it died.  I was impressed w/ my PVS-2 units until I got a Zeiss Z-51, those things are spectacular.  I wish I'd have bought a crate of them back in October when they were widely available, oh well, I say that about Yugo 8mm from 2007 too.  Hindsight is 20/20.
