I've seen pictures of this style mount a few times now and just wondering if anyone recognizes the head gear?

I'd like to find something a little more comfortable than the default PVS-14 head mount gear, but I'd really like to *not* jump to a helmet, so something like this looks pretty appealing.

Thank you

Here's a nearly identical face mask:

The price is a bit high and you'd be better off going with an OpsCore Base Jump and a cheap Norotos mount form Ebay.

Litton make or made a mount which is similar to the one pictured only it used a rod with pads that sit on the forehead and cheek bones. It is very comfortable. I was able to get an adapter from Wilcox to use the standard J arm. The down side is they are fairly hard to find, well here in AU or on ebay anyway.
I no longer have the setup so cant get a photo for you. I have now gone the way of a helmet with cheap ebay mounts, its not as cool temperature wise but nearly as comfortable.

cheers

It was probably similar to the one pictured below with the dovetail mount.

OP, why don't you want to jump to a helmet? I can understand not wanting to pay for or deal with a ballistic helmet, however, there are a few good choices for non-ballisitic helmets. Pro-Tec and OPs Core both make good non-abllistic NV helmets that don't have the drawbacks of full k-pots, and are cheaper than the Face Mask assemblies, and I would think would be much more comfortable and versatile.

ETA: I just looked up prices of face masks to double chek. $385 for a Norotos and $567 for a Morovision?!?!?!

You can buy Protechs with a Shroud for less than $160, A Ops Core basejump is $203. Both of these plus a USGI Rhino mount will be cheaper and more versatile than a High Speed fask mask.

@TCBA_Joe Honestly, it's mainly because I just can't see myself wearing a helmet without laughing at myself. Out camping with people, a mask seems much easier to keep folded away in a bag or pelican case wit the 14, rather than having to tout around a hard helmet. I know it sounds stupid, but there's just *something* about the helmet that I can't quite jump to.

@TNVC_Clasky Thanks for the link. I had found it earlier but wasn't sure if you were still carrying them or had them in stock. From what I can tell, the "Morovision" is the exact same one as the Norotos one. Maybe Morovision licensed it from Norotos or something. So from what I could gather from my google-fu, it looks like Litton & Norotos were the only companies to offer a face mask assembly. I've seen reviews of both from owners and they all seem pretty pleased with both options. However, it's weird to me that I can't find anything about the one in the picture I posted. Maybe it's an application designed specifically for a country's military and was never available to the public or something. Can you confirm that you have the Norotos with leather in stock or is this something that you drop-ship?

@rusty59 I indeed had an incredible time finding a Litton for sale. I did find one that sold on eBay a few months ago, so I guess they do exist, but they appear to be nearly impossible to find/purchase.

The version sold by Morovision and Norotos are the same thing.  Norotos is the manufacturer.  Some companies do not list the maker on their sites.  It is a standard item in the DOD and has been in use since the 90's.  It is much more comfy than the skull crusher.  Both ITT and Litton (L-3) purchase them from Norotos.  The one in the original picture is a modified unit made specifically for the LUCIE night vision device.  It is the same concept, but the LUCIE requires a proprietary mounting interface.  Currently, we are out of stock of the face mask, but can have it drop shipped to you right away.
