What are some lower price night vision rifle scopes?
And has anyone used the ATN Paladin Gen 1? |

Quoted: What are some lower price night vision rifle scopes? And has anyone used the ATN Paladin Gen 1? Generally, the recommendation is to go at least Gen2 as Gen1 scopes don't have sufficient gain to be truly useful and are best left for short-range shooting ( around 50m ) Prices for such NV riflescopes tends to start just before the $2000 mark. Quoted: Anyone have any experience with an IR illuminator with a Gen-1? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnpy1NA-85I That's a Russian Gen1 scope. 1.5x mag. Trees in distance @100m approx. Regards David

Quoted: Just to add, David's video shows a Russian Gen1 in urban light conditions (windows, street lamps...) In dense woods you won't see sh*t. I wouldn't buy it. David

what about the D-300M Gen 2+MS 1x Monocular These are generally about the minimum most folks suggest. Decent unit if you can get a good price on one. Not sure what they go for these days. New D-300's MS units are in the $1900 range nowadays due to supply and demand of the US Gen 2 Surplus tubes which are getting VERY low in numbers from what we're told. |

I remember when they were about 900 bucks. Times change... |
