Well I posted on here about a week or two ago about how I was grainy for some
Pvs-14 pinnacle. Well I got her and she's beautiful. The guy I worked the deal out gave me a pasgt helmet with a rhino mount. Well after wearing it for awhile and going on a golf cart ride at a near by course(Sam Adams was involved) the helmet rig I have leaves room for wanting something better. It works but it's very heavy and wobbly.

So helmet recommendations. I've checked out the a-alpha helmets but don't know much about setting up a rig. So recommendations would be great. Wouldn't mind to step away to a better mount as well but don't want to slaughter the bank account. Thanks for the help guys

Take a look a the OPS-CORE base jump on TNVC website and they only cost $240. The PT alpha sucks balls.

Why does it suck?

I have two of them and I like them both ! Don't get me wrong, the OpsCore is a great helmet but at 3 times the cost you have to factor price in. The PT works great for me. It is very light and works well. I do want the new OpsCore "skullcrusher" when it becomes available.

First off, helmet fit is of absolute importance; a good fit will be minimally invasive, and a bad fit will be completely miserable.

Second, heads are like fingerprints; what works well for one might be entirely inappropriate for another. One will almost certainly need to try a few rigs before getting it right; 10 minutes use does not constitute a solution.  Spending at least a few hours in the rig on multiple occasions without getting a headache is required before considering it GTG.

Have you looked through the used-to-be-tacked, now-linked helmets thread ?

The Oregon Aero BLSS kit is supposed to work well for the comfort/stability of the PASGT, but it will do nothing appreciable to reduce the weight.  If you want to spend $$$ on a dated ballistic system, it might be worth trying.  I don't have a PASGT, but have been pleased with the OA components that I have integrated into my MICH.

The PT-Alpha works well for some; I am not one of them.  PM me if you are interested in a tan large that has already had the rail modified to provide illuminator co-wit.

I have an Ops-Core on order to try if it is even better than my already good MICH and tried-and-true el-cheapo skateboard rig....again, good fit is EVERYTHING.

What should I look at in the ways of better mounts?
