I am thinking about selling my Insight M6X-IR flashlight IR laser combo, with IR-light cover. How much are these worth? Thanks, AZHONKY

These are about $400 new with IR cover. I'd say you should be able to get that if it's in good shape due to scarcity.

Small market - going to need to find that special buyer...especially at $400. Drop it to 200 and it's a sellers market. $300 is probablya  sweet spot...but these are just my stabs

I believe this thread will get moved into the laser section but that is another point

I must disagree entirely with my fellow members on a price point for this unit as well as the pricing I have been seeing on many IR lasers lately. I have only seen 3 of these for sale in a long time and one was from me and it sold for $775 here on AR15.com not long ago. I saw on another board one went for $900. As in all things in life it comes down to what a buyer and seller agree on and that is usually driven by supply and demand or that other driving force the "I have to have it no matter what price" (been there many times)

I understand that no one wants to feel that they are over paying for anything but I think the problem with many is that they see the retail price and do not understand what IR lasers are thus they think the price should be less and for those that know how rare they are in general feel the price/cost should be only slightly higher, I disagree.

We all know that the economy sucks and sadly many are out of work or looking to drum up more cash for many reasons but some of the pathetically low prices on IR lasers as of late have been painful to see, flat out painful!!

Back in the day I had access to whatever number of PAC4C's and PEQ-2A's I wanted and so many people told me that they wanted one and then when it came time to pony up at a very fair price they were no where to be found. Lesson learned, but there is no way this unit should be 2,3 or 400 and PEQ-2A's should not be going for $1,200 in the civi market but again there must be a buyer and seller to agree on what works for them.

we must be talking about two different items.

The Insight M6X-IR in pistol version can be ordered for $375 NEW and the rifle version for $586.

The point he is making is that the common civvy can't buy a new IR laser.Dealers won't sell them to you. The secondary used market prices are often very inflated because of supply and demand.

I must not have slept enough - ignore me. I have no idea why I thought you could buy that :)

By the way - I just got something similar, if not more advanced :) http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=20&t=508189

Nice grab on the LAM, in my opinion the LAM is one of rarest of all IR lasers to acquire

I sold a BEAMSHOT 6000 IR, which is a superior IR laser (very close to MILSPEC...), IMO, for $450 on the EE a few months ago. I do agree that occasionally I've seen high demand items go for very high prices.

It's all about your expectations and timing.
