This is a very good one for a PVS-14.

The Universal Adapter is a great accessory for guys who want to have a magnified NV image, but can't afford another NV Scope or a BNS/PVS-22.  The setup works great but requires a few conditions to reach its full potential.

1. By mounting the PVS-14 behind the scope, your dayscope's objective becomes the light-gathering lens.  As light is transferred through all the glass in the scope, it gets slightly degraded (no matter how clear the glass).  So, you want to pull as much light as possible which means you want a larger objective lens.  We recommend a bare minimum of 40mm, but 50mm+ is better.

2. You will want to use a good IR Illuminator like our ELR Torch-V to help boost your brightness at distance (especially on heavy cloud cover nights)

3. The scope will need to be moved forward in order to accommodate the PVS-14.  This can be a hassle for some guys because it means you have to move it backwards during the day time.  Some guys will use a reliable throw lever system for the scope and keep two dope data logs (day/night).  But, you are still going to want to confirm those zeros.

Interesting.  The pic shows an accupoint.  Do you know how a dot reticle on a 2.5-10x56 would work with a pvs-14 behind it?  Would it be too bright?

The fiber optic on top of the scope determines the amount of light for the reticle.  If the reticle is too bright in the PVS-14, a piece of electrical tape over the fiber optic can modulate the amount light coming in.

If you buy me a scope adapter.....you can have her.

Kidding.....she's the anchor....my thought is all of them are absolutely insane.....it's just finding one who can put up with my crap...and dosen't try to kill me in my sleep.

I can see in her eye sometimes....she's thinking about the sweet release of murder/ suicide.....kidding agian....?

We first met.....she had been tught that guns were evil.....and just being around them....was likely to kill her. (thank you mother-in-law)

But after joining our band of merry men...and ladies at the range....she started training with a Ruger MKII.....now I have to keep her from swiping my other guns.

I got her to try by asking her if she wanted to have a bare knuckle fight (I'm 6'2"....300lbs...she's abuck and a quarter tops), I handed her my pistol....and said now were equal. She got the point.

Sorry ladies for the insane remark.....but that's because I'm an idiot.....which makes you insane....catch 22....
