OK, it's a little old school and I've yet to get it fired up, but let's get some vintage stuff showing
Anyone have a manual that I could beg/borrow/steal/photocopy???? PAS4. It's in unissued shape inside and out. I put in a regular C cell 1.5v battery. Fit was perfect, but it didn't start. Numerous new batteries tried. Everything looked fine, wires etc were good, battery compartment clean, no corrosion, wires and connectors etc looked as new. I had 3 of them, all the same shape, and none would start. Any help appreciated...... Pulleeeezzzz I'm not too concerned with the light yet. Just want to get the scope working.

M 4 carbine dedicated Night Vision.ATN Aries 390 Paladin.I also have the ElCheapo laser in case anything goes wrong or I need the rifle in the daytime.I have a ranch and find this VERY handy for racoons,possums , and an occasional coyote.50gr Winchester Silvertip makes possums EXPLODE! I`ll have to take the camera next time I go fence checkin If I put anything else on this weapon , it`ll have to have wheels !

I have a question for the "pro`s" out there : I was out in the pasture a while back , saw a possum on the run , took a shot and missed.I had to sidestep to take the next shot because my flash hider had worked perfectly and left a big cloud of unburned gas in front of me.I`m using 50 gr Winchester Silvertips because the do a VERY good job of terminating what they hit.Should I be using a different ammo that burns cleaner?I`m using the above rifle with the Phantom flash hider.It is a "16 barrel M4 type.Maybe a longer barrel?This rifle only has a few rounds put through it and I`d trade for a longer barrel if it would do any good.

 Question: Will I need to remove the 4x magnifier to mount the PVS or can I just move the EoTech forward and have all three units in line (PVS on a flip away mount as well)?

Yes, the Mil-Spec magnifier screws into the front threaded lens of the PVS. The 3x magnifier kit also comes with an adapter that allows the magnifier to slip over the lens. We do not recommend this as the magnifier will fall off pretty easy with this set up. Hope this helps.

Vic is shipping my 14 today and I should have it by the weekend. I also have an El cheapo IR inbound from Hong Kong and have had the EO 552 for a while. The Hong Kong IR may turn out to be an expensive paper weight, but thought I'd try it prior to dropping over $1,600 for a legit unit. INPUT?????? |

I'd actually say they are quite popular. It depends on what ranges you will be using it on. I've used my mum along with a 552 with no issues, but without a magnifier my shots on smaller game were restricted to 75 yards and in. Also, on the NV setting I noticed the torch would drown out the reticle when set to spot. I got to try out a otal visible laser while helmet mounted hog hunting this past weekend, and it actually worked quite well. Just make sure you put the laser on the target right before you shoot. I played with one hog putting the laser towards his eyes and in front of him, and he was gone!

Just got my Shizza together and after trying a bunch of different setup here's my Favorite. I have my MSAR with a Trijicon TriPower and PVS14 on a LaRue QD and also my J Arm so I can go from helmet to rifle or vice versa very quickly. The TriPower was the best I tried so far in the dark with the dot being just visible enough without blooing in the NVG's. THe YHM can completes the Package.
