Can you safely use a PVS 14 with a ACOG?  Is the tritium to brite for the PVS I.e. will it burn an image in the tube?

I do not think it's bright enough to burn the image tube...Maybe if it's left on for a long period of time...But the typical ACOG NSN is too bright for a NOD to go in behind the unit unfortunately.

Oh, well it was a good idea!  I appreciate the heads up!

I actually sent my TA 31 back to Trijicon to get the Tritium removed and alas in very dark situations the reticle becomes lost. One of my back burner projects is to build a tiny LED to sit on top of the Fiber optic to light the reticle.

In all honesty the 3X magnifier combined with a 14 produced a better image than the 14 behind the acog. The small objective on the acog does cut light.

Trust me I wanted it to work too.
