This is my homemade NVD, got a surplus image intensifier tube from my brother with two wires hanging off of it.  So to make
use of it I purchased a camera lens for the objective and another lens for the eyepiece.  I get what looks to be about a 1.5 power
magnification.I fashioned some PVC to mate with the image
intensifier tube and lens and then expoxied them onto the body of the image intensifier  tube.  Obtained one of those AAA battery
holders from a kids toy and expoxied that onto the top along with a switch. Put some JB weld expoxy all over that to give it a
smooth look.  The mounting rail I got from
a gun show and I JB welded  the whole thing onto the rail.  Needed a secure mount so I made one from Oak wood to go around the
whole thing.  Lots of fitting and filing.  Then I JB welded the mount to the  scope for that "its not moving" effect.
The mount has a screw through the base and at the top. The flip up Butler creek lens  over was stuck on with some Goop.  I pierced a pin
hole in the center and it works for daytime use.  The rubber eyepiece I got from a buddy and Gooped that on too. I love Goop.
Oh yeah I sprayed on this rubber coating stuff which I don't like too much as it can be scratched off pretty easily. I have since obtained
some Krinkle finish stuff that is tough which I plan on doing soon.  Had to raise the EoTech up to get it aligned so I drilled and taped the front
handguard and put on another piece of thin rail.

Very interesting project you came up with.  What generation tube are you using?  Did you purge the unit as well?  Would like to see some pics through the tube.

Well cash wise I really don't have much in it at alll.  Lens were from this place out in Pa. which deals in surplus and new optics.  Picked
them up pretty cheap, home depot supplied  Goop/JB weld/PVC (a bunch of tools which I already had) but the time adds up !  Evenings
after dinner in the basement.  I don't really take note of how long a project takes, they take however long but thats usually the fun
part.  Gotta love the basement!
Here are some pics through the tube, my
brother made these a while back, too cold to go out tonight.  It looks better than the pics are showing, no moon, white chair in back.
Some neighbors lights on, the chair is in a dark area.

Looks pretty good for a home made device.

I bet you're happy it works and works well.

Wish I could do something like this.

He`s doomed now!! this is how it starts, he`s defiantly addicted now!! pretty soon he will be moving up to the Hard Stuff(gen III), hiding new scopes from the wife, and cruising Ebay at 3:00 am for parts.
