Can someone look through the top of their Phoenix IR-15 firefly and tell me what the part numbers on the IC chips are? I would like to build a couple and maybe modify the circuit, the chips are probably only a buck apiece.

Sorry I don't have any at the moment, SOMEBODY on here must have a couple.

I would like to try to add an EEPROM to the circuit in order to store several different pre-set codes, if I modify it, I won`t infringe on the patent if I sell some.

Ok I found one in the bottom of the sea bag and there are no numbers on mine... Sorry.

Thanks for looking, I`m not surprised, they probably removed the part #`s I`m going to try and use some parts from some TV remote`s, they store hundreds of short flash codes.

Have you ever watched an IR driven remote with a NVD function? Some of those flash modes are delivered at an insanely high rate.

Interesting idea.

I`m going to get a couple of the universal remotes at the thrift store to play with, they literally have hundreds of codes for different man./models, maybe some of them have a slow enough pulse to be usable. For instance the flash code for a certain model of an emerson cd player (example: 1526) would be the same on all of the different universal remotes.

I looked at mine as well, no numbers on the chip.
