| Is there any tube spec difference between the new ITT Night Enforcer PVS-14 and the Night Quest PVS-14 ? |
No, they are exactly alike on paper and the NE is not really new. Actually though, since I reported a few months ago, NVEC (Now DRS) is unloading a large lot since they could not sell many of them for the last 2 years (everything was restricted from them), I have seen numerous NE units lately with lot's of blems since they are trying to unload them to many dealers. The other interesting thing is most of the NE units are 2 years+ old that have been sitting on the shelf and the warranty clock has been ticking. No one has given me a straight answer on what or who will honor the warranty and how much time is REALLY left on the warranty clock. I for one have passed on these units and remain hooked on my factory ITT NQ and Northrop Grumman units. These units have been very, very good thus far with the NQ ITT warranty at 5 years. Hope this helps Vic Edited, these are commercial tube units, not mil-spec NVEC was using. |
IMHO, GG&G maks the best mount...once you put the ring on the objective housing, you leave it on....leave the j-arm on it,and you can go from helmet mounted to wepon mounted in seconds, and back again just as quick... |
