| Why doesn't someone make a compact gen 3 Mini weapon sight say with a 2X to 3X lens and very small size maybe 50% to 75% the size of the 740 weapon sight? The only company I have seen such a thing from is ATN and I am not buying any of their stuff. Seems like there would be a market for such a sight with small size,light weight, big FOV. |
| I tried to buy a blackcat 2 years ago and couldn't find a dealer that could get one at the time. It was also very high dollar more than it was worth I am afraid. I am kind of glad they didn't find one for me now it was way over priced. I would like to see a good commerical system like the 740 and 740 price range come onto the market. |
My first NV rifle scope was a BK back in 1994 with a Gen 2 tube. They were VERY expensive at that time. I also owned their NVPS-10. Back in my early LE and surveillance days (early 90's), the NVPS-10 was the most versatile system out there for video camera's etc. There is still something to be said for C-Mount lens systems. As for the BK nowadays at almost 7K...  No reason not to buy two D-740's for that price!
