Does any one know if the red dot on the doctor optics is compatible with an NVG, like the Eotech or Aimpoint?

I'll see if we can get this moved to the NV forum.  Good question and some prelim NV work is being done with the DOC OP.

I don't think they would be as they cannot go low enough. My Dr (in pitch dark) is visible to the human eye.

The JPoint is the same way, IIRC somebody said that the Fowler Pride worked okay with their PVS14.

ISPC guy asked me to take some pics awhile ago with a DOC OP...Guess what? I completely forgot...I WILL get these out as he was going to work on a filter of some sort.

Actually I JUST got the filter done. It is simply optical grade sheet plastic for photorgaphy that is Neutral Density Grey. I simply cut out a piece that lays across the top of the exit pupil for the light source and it knocks the intensity down to where it will sorta work with a PVS 14. I will get some pictures taken this weekend. This is my new ALL TIME FAV way of using a red dot with the 3X lens. You don't see hardly any of the housing as you do with an EO tech or an Aimpoint.

How hard do you think it would be to make a snap on cover for the JPoint? Maybe modify one of their covers to hold the filter.

I am still working on a way to secure the filter in other than with some double sided tape so it is a valid question for a durable method of attachement.

here are the pics.

I will shoot some through the set up later this evening

Pete,

You gonna use the O2000 or the DOC OP or both?

The Optima is what I have right now but I "want" a milspec Doctor OP. Alas my camera was not cooperating last night. I will have to try it again later this week.
