The fuckers rejected my form 1 saying they didn't get my finger print cards and cover sheet.  Of course I have the tracking that shows they DID get them.  Five different NFA approvals, TSA global entry, deep background checks for my employment and these assholes still need fingerprint cards that they're just goin to fucking lose anyway.  Government is fucking useless.

UPDATE: Earlier today Heather Huff responded to an email I sent her on Monday.  She asked for some tracking details which I sent and she got back to me that she found the print cards.

She said they cant reverse a disapproval so I'll need to resubmit tonight when the system comes back up at 6pm (interesting she knew when it wold come back up).  I'll submit a new form and pay again.  Refund for the other should take 7-10 days.

The good news is that she said I can email my new cover letter and they'll pair them with the fingerprint cards that they have on hand from the last submission.

Not an ideal situation overall but I'm glad she stepped up, took some ownership, and looked into it for me.

Damn That would make me a little agitated.

Did you send them a copy of your tracking showing they got it, I imagine you did and they said it wasn't in the package

Just got the the disapproval email this morning so I haven’t done anything.  I might call but that won’t do any good I’m sure.

Sounds like I’m probably SOL and will need to refile. Double checked tracking and confirmed they received it certified mail on 1/2.

Even going through the "Ask the Experts" tab on the efile website?
Rough situation.

Eta: I'd still reach out phone/email again before refiling. Hopefully, there's still a chance to salvage the original.

Yep. He had my first disapproved form 1 approved and emailed to me less than 24 hours after resubmitting.

I called first thing and they (Melissa) said to write them using "Ask The Experts" tab on eform site so I sent an email with all the relevant details.  we'll see I guess.

I don’t recall getting an email from Heather Huff. Would that have been the cover letter email?

Hopefully it will work out, but if they lost your fingerprints and can’t find them, I don’t see any other way to move forward other than sending another set of prints.

That’s what I’m thinking.  At this point I’m hoping they stop the disapproval and just asked me to send them again.

My eForm was also denied today due to me forgetting to list my physical address in addition to my mailing. Anyway to email someone to get a new form fasttracked without having to redo fingerprints? Really don’t want to go through the whole ordeal at the sheriffs office again.

As an alternative if your fingerprints are on-file at Silencer Shop you can buy a set for $15 and then proceed to scan them and you'll be able to print them out at will.

agree both of these are more convenient options.  rolling your own is easy and is free once you get an ink pad (target, staples, amazon, etc).

Anytime I used ''ask an expert'' I would generally get a reply the next morning if I sent it the previous night.

Jess Huff. Yeah, he has never returned a phone call for me, but he always replied when I sent a message. He was my examiner for my form 1 efile that took 220 days.

You could try emailing Heather Huff. [email protected]

I sent her emailing explaining my problem and she replied with
"Good Morning Sir,

I sent your e-mail over to an Industry Processing Branch Supervisor to assist as I know you have been inquiring about this application for some time. I included some of your previous e-mails as well for her to see that you have been attempting to reach out and get a response regarding this submission. I apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused. I do know that we have not received back a response from FBI on your background and that is the issue keeping us from proceeding with your application. I asked that they get this either resolved or provide a final status to your application if they cannot approve it.

Thank You,

Not sure what the timeframe is needed for this to be an option, but early on in the world of EForms I had two Disapproved on a Sunday. I sent some emails back and forth that day arguing my case, and had Approved forms in my inbox Monday morning. Didn’t have to resubmit or pay again.

Probably something that doesn’t happen real often at all, but it definitely happened at least once (for two forms at the same time).
