I have an address listed in my Trust.  It's the same one used in the Form 1 and 4s.

Now that I've moved, do I have to update the address on all of these paperwork?  The way I see it, I don't have to update the address on the Trust, unless I want to add more items to the Trust.

If I do or should update the Trust, that's no problem.  What about the F1 and F4 with the old address on it?

Trusts generally don't have an assigned address.  Sometimes an address will be called out or listed to reference where the trust was originally executed, but it's more of a note or record, not something to update.

As for your registered items, it depends on if you moved to a new state or not.

If your move didn't cross state lines, no action is needed.

If you did cross state lines, then you were required to first obtain an approved form 5320.20 from the ATF notifying them of the interstate move prior to taking the registered items interstate.

Only have to file if you move to another state.

...and to be clear, you don't do anything to the actual F1s & F4s you have, which is kinda what it sounds like you were asking. For any changes, you send in a 5320.20 and they update the registry, but your forms will always have the old address on them.

Thanks. Forgot to mention, it is in state, so that's awesome.
