I had my check clear for a form 1 the first week of September.
Been waiting, trying not to call but finally broke down yesterday and called. "Your form is in problem status,You need to speak with Courtney upstairs" So I left Courtney a message with my info wondering what the problem was. My trust? The new Ruling?No fly list? When I got home I found the copy of the form I sent in.. I didn't put the caliber in box C. 
What is my dumb ass in for once she calls me back? Think I can get her to put .32acp in the box for me? |
| I just sent a email to ATF regarding my Form1. I realized that I misspelled my Trust name a couple of week after submitting it. Rather than assigning me a number it went to "Pending Research Status". I received a response 24 hours later telling me that they had fixed the typo and told me "I should be good to go...Now you wait! :)". Made me LOL. You know, there are a lot of nice people working for the ATF. Just be nice to them and they will most likely do whatever they can for you. Good luck. |

I got a call back today from another woman letting me know Courtney was out on vacation.
She pulled my folder and said it was in problem status because I listed my county as St. Johns instead of Saint Johns. After a few min on hold she came back and said"My supervisor says the post office recognizes St. and Saint so we will continue to process it like it is". I was working when she called and didn't ask how much longer it would take. I just thanked her for her help. I'll update this cool story when my form shows up. |

99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of people who get the forms messed up...I always tell them...to breath.....
just breath...close your eyes..have a clear space to work in...and then open your eyes and look at it again. It just surprises me that some are distracted and don't pay attention to the little things. you are not the only one that it has happened..as I've seen it before...and helped with it before. Even in the old days....it happened. Hell...I had one customer....write for his Fleming sear.. LIKE THE BOND WRITER...FLEMMING...

Whats strange is the copy I made of the form I sent in had nothing in the caliber box but she said it did. Guess I must have written it in after I made a copy. I sent in 3 form 1's last year all about 2 weeks apart.I'm just glad it wasn't something like the trust that I would have to correct on all of them. The wait continues.. |

I have never heard of them making the correction for you, but ????? There should have been instructions in the letter to make corrections on the form and send it back. In about two weeks you will probably get your approval. My first 3 went into problem stats due to missing social security number on fingerprint cards. Courteney fixed it and sent it back to the examiner for me. |

I just got an email that mine was disapproved. Reason was applicant trust name required in box 3b. The copy in the email just shows my address. I could see me putting my name instead of the trust name but I doubt I left it blank. The site is down so I can't log in to check until after 6.
Do I need to call after I resubmit to get it pushed through or does it stay at the top of the list? |
