ATF refund info > General NFA Questions

Hi guys, figured I'd share.

I had a F1 declined on Feb 26 and hadn't seen a refund yet. I called ATF and spoke to the one guy there who handles all the refunds. He's out of the office today but said he thinks he'll have the Feb 26th refunds processed next week.

Just figured this might give other folks a reference point if you are sill waiting for a refund.

Thanks. I made a typo on an application and am also waiting on a refund. They sure are in no hurry to process the refunds.

Not sure but the guy I spoke to Kyle? maybe? Said he was the only one who processed refunds.

Somehow I forgot to sign one of the two copies and they kicked it back as "no action taken". It seems as though the policy is to make it as hard as possible. Not my experience in the past with minor corrections.

My stamps were cancelled end of Dec and I didn't have my money back till March.

Can we confirm the name of "refund guy?" I'm waiting on two from many many months ago. I used eFile with a debit card, and the bank account no longer exists. I figured they would mail me a check when the repayment failed...

So apparently the ATF guy I spoke with was FOS. Here it is Friday and no re-fund.

I will give it another week and call back again...

I have been waiting since March 26th. I got rejected over typing "firearms" instead of "firearm". Damn letter s has cost me quite a bit of time and hassle.

For those who used a credit card are they just charging back to them or sending a check?

I am still waiting on one that was cancelled/disapproved on 3/11.

Hopefully its on this months statement.

Also the person who is in charge of refunds is Scott Robertson. Unfortunately I have not had much luck getting ahold of him for the last couple weeks.

My refund took longer than approval for the Form 1 filed after it was initially denied!

It has to be on purpose, punish the mistakes.

I emailed Ted Clutter shortly after making my post as he was the one who put my form through after being denied.

He was sympathetic and admitted they are behind on the refunds and working to speed things up.

I just checked my account and he must have called someone because the refund posted earlier today.

Just checked my account. Got 2 refunds yesterday and the third one today. All set, finally. Was denied on 3/14.

That is good to hear. I was disapproved 5/30/15
