So just got into the NFA game.  Two cans out of jail now but find myself needing more.

Also interested into getting into the AR SBR game, but not sure I know the flow of how the process work.  I'm sure my local dealer will fill me in but I wanted to learn a little before I go tomorrow.  I've read bunch of the tacked threads but there is so much info and I'm not finding these questions right off.

1.  Do you get the stamp for the lower?  and then you can put any lower that is less than 16" on it?     or is there a set upper/lower pair that must go together.

2.  I think I understand that the lower is engraved.  Do the uppers also have to be engraved?

3.  IIRC it was form 4 for supressors, but it is Form 1 for SBR?  I read that the wait is much shorter for this form and you can submit it online now?

Thanks for your patience

1. Stamp is for the serialized portion, so the lower in the AR world
2. The completed firearm must be engraved. Frame, receiver or barrel with an AR.
3. Form 1 is to make and register an item, while Form 4 is to transfer an existing item...they're both able to be used with any type of NFA item (except you can't Form 1 a machine gun)

Well, if Nolo has his way you might be able to.  ATF did approve some F1 MGs last year, hence the lawsuit.
