Let me preface my question by stating that I have read lots of posts and stickies prior to asking, just want to be sure that I get it right on my first attempt.
I am going to fill out a from 1 to SBR a Daniel Defense lower that I already posses. I am a little confused on the engraving requirement. Please confirm whether I am on the right track. I will engrave: 1- Serial Number (Use existing, correct?) 2- Model (Use existing, correct?) 3- Caliber (Use existing, correct?) Has multi as the caliber...but I will use 5.56 on the Form 1, right?. THIS IS WHERE I NEED HELP! Please give me some guidance on this. 4- Name (Use name of my NFA trust, correct?) 5- Location (Use my current City and state, correct?) So.... Items 1 & 2 are already engraved by Daniel Defense. Item 3 has me confused. Item 4 & 5 need to be added by me. Thanks in advance for the help! |

Read through this ruling by the ATF, just so you'll know why the answer is what it is. 1 & 2 are covered. 3...firearm has to be marked. If lower is marked multi, you either have to have a barrel or upper that's marked in some way, or engrave the lower 4 & 5 are the full name of the applicant (your trust) and the location where the firearm is made, which is a one-time act. This is usually your home city, state, but doesn't have to be. |

Thanks!!!! I do not want to screw this up! I will post pics once I get both builds done and get the suppressors Are you using EForms? If so, leave the Description box blank. If you're paper filing, leave 4h blank. That just eliminates a possible error that would cause additional engraving. |
