Hello All,
I have done two form 1's in the past and just purchased 2 suppressers today and was handed a suprise. When I did the form 1's I called the ATF and they sent all the required paperwork and I was off to the pool. I thought the the dealer would provide all of the required paperwork with the form 4's........wrong! They did not provide any fingerprint cards! Will the ones at the Sheriffs department work? And is this the correct information to put on the card if they will take the Sheriff's Dept Fingerprint card: WVATF0800 ATF-NFA BRANCH MARTINSBURG, WV Also since i am being Mr. Ask it tonight do I need to complete the "citizenship form" with a form 4? My dumb ass did very little research because I assumed the dealer had the info. Lesson learned. And for the record my dealer has just started in the suppresser world and has sold 4 counting my two so I will give him some constructive advice once I have my stuff mailed. Thanks |

ATF-NFA BRANCH MARTINSBURG, WV My county's information printed over top of the above on the fingerprint cards that the ATF sent me. We ended up shredding those and just used blank ones which in turn just had my county's info on it. There was no issue with it. As for the citizenship, I'm 99.9% sure you need to fill one out with a Form 4. It won't hurt you to fill it out. If you're wrong no big deal. It would suck to get your form returned because you didn't fill one out in the first place. |

http://www.atf.gov/forms/dcof/ Cards "FBI FD-258LE - NFA, Imports ORI WVATF0800" To answer your original question, yes the sheriff's cards will work as long as they are standard spec FBI cards and the ORI information is updated. Thanks Just use the Cards your Sheriffs Department uses. Whenever I send in an Form 4 to the NFA, I just use my local Police Departments cards. (They do my prints for free.). I called the NFA A while back and they told me, they have a sticker that they put on the ORI area of the card that has the NFA Info. |
