Ok I know its all over the board. My question is
I have two SBR uppers heading my way. I want to do a trust for my 2 uppers. These are personal uppers and want my wife and kids to use them on the range with me. How or where on the Revokable Living trust do I make sure they have access to them in the safe etc? and do I use my name in the Trustee area or my company name since I am an LLC/S-Corp? Second I own a security company. I want to have some NFA items at the office and be able to let my employees use them. Do I use my company name as the "Name" in the Revokable trust instead of mine? I appreciate your help. I have a copy of a trust from someone in my state that did one and it was a gtg one. Now I just need to see if its better to use my company name or my personal name for the Trustee area... Thanks in advance Loki |

For what you are wanting to do, you should really seek an attorney. The only advice I can give you is not to mix personal/trust/corporate business without a VERY clear understanding of what you are doing. This. You might want to reconsider allowing employees to use NFA weapons, too. Particularly, you should check with an attorney who is well versed in Alabama laws regulating private security firms, as there may even be rules against the use of NFA weapons in the performance of security duties. |

Ok got my trust done
Now to register my lower I need to do a form 1 or form 4? Also applicants name is that my full name or the trust name? What is the Trade Name? For calibers can I put "Multi" in there instead of putting each one? Where the LEO section is at the bottom do I leave it blank since I dont need him there? Thanks for all the help guys. Loki |

Yes I know that the lower is the NFA item and that is what I am referring to. I have multiple uppers on the way and I want to register the lower so I can use the uppers. I hope your lower is a pistol otherwise you could be in some serious trouble. The ATF frowns upon constructive intent. |

Its not.. the lower is actually being put at a buddies house to hold while the uppers will be locked in the safe. That way they are not together. I talked to a Lawyer who is also a SOT/FLL as well and told me I will be ok doing it this way until my tax stamp comes in.
Thanks its being mailed out tomorrow. Loki |

Loki You're sort of doing this backwards. You should retain the lower since this represents the "firearm": In giving the lower to your friend, you are transferring a "firearm" to him. While I'm sure this is perfectly legal where you live, it does present some potential liability that is too utterly avoidable to bother with. Keep your lower and give him the uppers. |
