| If you have a class 2 SOT and a Type 7 FFL are you limited to only manufacturing or are you also allowed to buy/sell items the same way you would with a Class 3 SOT and a Type 1 FFL? |

with 07/02, you can also do transfers/sales of Title I and Title II firearms. you're not limited to selling to other "dealers". So you're not limited to selling ONLY items that you "manufactured"? For instance you could buy a suppressor from Gemtech or Silencerco or a distributor and turn around and sell that to an individual just like a normal dealer? |

So can an 07/C2 manufacture a post sample MG hold on to it with out having a demo letter? Yes. Manufacturers and importers can also purchase post-samples, without a demo letter, from other SOT's who are giving up the SOT. An 01/C3 will still need the letter. I think 01/C3 has to have a demo letter before being transfered a holding onto a post sample MG?

Yes One clarification: An 07/02 manufacturer normally needs the same LE demonstration letter as an 01/03. However, if the selling SOT is giving up his SOT, an 07/02 can then buy without the letter. Otherwise, if the 07/02 is buying current production MGs from a company that is staying in biz, they do still need the demo letter. |
