My F4 SBR transfer has been pending since Dec 17, so I called to day to check they status. I was advised that it was a "problem" status, dated yesterday, and a letter has been sent explaining the problem? This is my 12th? or so NFA item so I'm fairly familiar with the process. If I would have forgotten something, wouldnt it have come up by now and not 3-4 months into it..
Does the letter go to me, the transferee, or to my SOT, the transferer? What could the "problem" be? scottMO |

the way i understand it, pending just means that your form was entered into the system, and put in an examiner's queue.
i've been pending since december 16 on a form 1. I called a few weeks ago to ask if the examiner could mail the approved stamp to my parent's address, as i will be on travel for the next few months and i don't trust my neighbors to get the mail, and don't want it getting lost. she put a sticky note on my form and said she hadn't even looked at it yet... |

I had a new examiner process my last two and she wanted something different than others. Unfortunately, they don't all do things the same way. Since it went into problem status yesterday, that means it finally made it to the top of your examiners stack. You might call back and ask to speak with the examiner. If it's a missing form like a trust document, or 5330.20, that's something you can easily email or fax to the examiner. IME, once they get that, they'll process/approve the form the same day. |

No equality throughout. Will |

Well, I called back and asked for my examiner, Nicole Dudash. She was very helpful and it turns out, it's "operator error". I forgot to put my name on the back in the LEO section... She confirmed that it does go back to my SOT, so as soon as he receives it, adds my name and returns it, it should be good to go..
thanks all!! |

Some examiners will write the information in for you once they talk to you. Too bad she isn't one. |

The entire package came ack to me in abt 3 weeks, and I started the wait all over.. scottMO |
| My SBS stamp went into problem status on Mar 9 also. I got the letter on the 18th and sent it back on the 19th. Right now it's still listed as being in problem status. I dunno how long it takes for them to get the letter and do anything with it. I tried contacting N. Dudash twice today and she didn't answer either time. Didn't bother leaving a voicemail. |

My form 4 for my suppressor came back to my SOT last week. Did not have the Sheriffs name in the LEO block. Nichole Dudash..... Seems like she could have just called and asked for the info. If your SOT is the same as mine(Bret), we talked abt your scenario too since it was so close to my situation (he didnt tell me who it was though).. |
