Quoted: I went pending Jan 12th. There is no real ryme or reason to it. Depends on who you got, and what their work load is. Wish it was easier then that. Like 6 weeks. But there isn't. I really wish there was rhyme or reason to it...like reason dictating if you've been through the NFA process before, they would only have to you check out from the time of the last stamp until the present. But no, this is my second stamp and I've been PENDING for almost as long as the entire process took last time. |

I had two forms for my first two MG's, they took a month and three days, and that is mail box to mail box. Sent it in the last day of Feb, took the guns home the 3rd day of May. If they all went that fast. |

At this point I wouldn't waste a moment with the examiner, ask to speak to that examiner's supervisor. There are two things govt employees universally hate: The boss on their ass after a customer complaint, and a Senator or Rep's office making an inquiry. But the Senator/Rep is the nuclear option, after that you may need to invoke that every time thereafter.

One of mine has been pending since last october.... Sent one in April, that still isn't in the system even though cash has been cashed. Really? Wow. Is there any issues with it? Have you spoken with your examiner? Kharn |

I called today and the ATF said my dealer only sent in one copy of the app. Dealer called me and said I (me the customer) did not sign the form. Someone is lieing to me. And I think I know who. That sucks... I would like to be more mad, but .. I am not going to shorten my life because of a fuck up.
I am mad the dealer lied to me and said I forgot to sign the papers, I am mad I have to drive up to to Sarasota and burn gas. But I am going to a gun shop, so? |

Why would you let your dealer send in the forms? I would never trust a dealer to do that. Unless it was Ruben or MM. They would be about the only two I'd trust to have them done right, in a timely fashion. My local C3? Nope. I'll do it myself. |

Have you spoken with your examiner? Kharn Howard isn't much better then Shippman. I've spoken with Howard on a couple of forms, he was never much of a help. Erine was a help when he was still there. Too bad he got his promotion. |

mine went pending on 4/15 and got approved on 6/11. my examiner was Barbara Payne Sounds like I need to place a call to BATFE today and check on mine. My examiner is Barbara Payne. I sent into 2 forms - a Form 1 and a Form 4 - which went pending on April 12 and April 8th. That's 42 & 38 days in the "pending" status. Today - June 16 - is 107 days since I sent my forms in. Since my forms went in just days ahead of yours, I'm hoping that they've been approved. I'll give them a call this afternoon and check. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile EDIT I called BATFE and my suppressor was approved by Sandra Snook this morning! My tax stamp should be on the way to my dealer very soon. So that's 69 days from pending to approved. My Form 1 (SBR) was assigned to a different examiner and has been pending now for 65 days. |
