I have a few NFA items...a SBS, a couple of SBRs, and a .22 Suppressor...but nothing too high dollar.  If money were no object, what is your dream Class 3 item?  One of mine is an H&K MP5K-PDW.  Another is a SAW.

The one MG I always wanted growing up was an MP5. Well, not really. The two MG's I always wanted when I was growing up was an MP5 and an M60. MP5 cause I saw them every where, Bond had them, etc, etc. And the M60 I always remember seeing in books about nam. I now have both. I think the M60 would be the one I'd have to pick. Maybe a SAW, but I didn't really learn about them till much later.

AM180 , would probly do it for me , or a M16 / DIAS . of all the MGs I've shot I've probly had the most fun with them . I've owned a MP5 for a while and really liked it but it does just one thing , if were takling a trigger pac and a bunch of hoast then I might lean that way . either way I'm leaning towards vesitility . except with the AM 180 , they're just plain fun .

I have a dozen transferable machine guns, including MP5 & M60E4, but I've always wanted a Dillon Aero, and even more so after getting to fire ~4500 rounds in the desert last week:

I would really want a p90 although none of them would be transferable. I've shot one before and it is by far my favorite machine gun that I've shot that one can really carry. I mean a mini gun would be the most fun but really expensive to shoot and would take setup and whatnot. After the p90 I'd say a 10mm mp5 followed by a m16 reciever. I know the m16 reciever would be the best are far as options but the others are just more fun for me.

A Tavor (of course there are no transferables). A Thompson, a Steyr AUG, Micro Uzi, BAR, MP5, Minigun, Stoner M60, SAW. What are we up to, about $200K?
I dont make a lot of money but I did manage to save up ang get a M11/9 with a Lage upper and Bowers can...

There is another one I always wanted...a Jati.  I remember reading about it in Soldier of Fortune or some gun magazine as a kid/teen and then thinking it was so cool when I spotted it later in the movies, Cobra and Red Dawn.  It seemed to be a unique and well thought out design.

Just the transferable minigun would be close $250k....

The transferable SAW would be between 75k and 100k...

I don't know if I have a "dream" gun. per say.  However,  I always have the next gun or project in mind to fullfill but there isn't one particular gun the I just have to have at this point.

From an NFA aquistion list perspective to round out my current collection I would probably go with the following order.

1. AK (cause no NFA collection could really be called remotely complete without an AK)
2. Steyr Aug (Need at least one bullpup)
3. Beretta AR70 (just because I have always like Beretta's non-NFA firearms (pistols and shotguns) and would like to own one of the 18 or so transferrable AR70s out there)
4. Colt Thompson (Just for the history factor)
5. HK23EK (just for fun)

After that there really isn't anything that I have any desire to own at this point and would maybe grab another M16 or HK Sear.

A Minigun would be neat but given the cost to feed, the amount of stuff to take with you and set up, they seem like something that would be better to rent for the experience (especially out of a helo... that looks awesome by the way) than actually have one in the safe even at retail prices if FOPA went away.

However, I will admit I have had a hairbrain idea the past year or two with the influx of cheap HK33 kits and guns to weld three HK33s  onto a circular mount with some sort of shround and run them off beta mags.  I figure it would be a sub $3000 project for all the parts (already have the HK sears) and get you close to minigun speed at 2500 rd/min at 830 rds/min per gun and allow you a 300rd burst.  Given that the cost of 5.56 has dropped back down to $200 per K I could actually kind of afford to feed it.

As mentioned by Circuits AIM still has some at $199.50 per K and had black box Wolf at the same price about two weeks ago.  Recently Palmetto also had Wolf for or Tula for $200 per K if memory serves correctly.

If you don't mind shooting steel case stock up while you can.  Cleaning out some old catelogs recently I found a cheaper than dirt catelog circa 2002 with $99 a case for Wolf 223 advertised on the front page....

Ah, the Good Ol' Days .... back around '00, you could buy a 2,700-round tub of South African 5.56 for about $250. Brass-cased, though Berdan-primed, circa 1970/80's non-corrosive NATO M193. I bought a bunch to stock up, and still have some of the sealed 300-round battlepacks left. Great, cheap ammo.

Don't think we'll see those days again. Buy cheap ammo while you can. Ya never know when it'll dry up ... and some day, it may dry up forever.

I have a few MGs and all I really want is
FND with all of the caliber conversions

and 249  maybe a FN MAG AKA 240

but the first 2 would be the end of my wanting.

I miss those days, but I've still got about 42 cases of SA 7.62 and 20+ cases of SA 5.56...

Well, this is ar15.com ....

Having owned a whole lot of MGs ... and sold off most of 'em ... I kept the ones I loved most: A Colt factory M16A1 and a full-size Uzi. I'll never sell either one, but the M16 is the one I love the most, because it can do the most. I've got every upper from an LMG to a DOE, and that level of versatility is simply unequalled in the MG world.

Sure, it's not an M60. Nor is it a Minigun. But I wouldn't want to try to CCW an M60 or a Minigun, while I could do so with the DOE.

For me, an M16 is the dream gun. Glad I got mine.

If money was no object, including the replenishment of ammo, I'd either go with a mini gun, or MK-19, just for the hell of it and to say I had one.  Realistically, I'd probably go with an M240.  Very versatile, light, and bad ass.

I'd be happy with just a DIAS.  In fact, if someone GAVE me an MP5 I would sell it immediately.  Not because it isn't a sexy gun, but because a DIAS can survive wear and tear, kabooms, and decades of use.

For me it's got to be a Black USG P90 (black reticule) with the LV internal laser.  They aren't transferable so I'll never own one but give me a P90 and a FiveseveN and I"ll never need ask for another thing in life.

This is as close as I can get but I'm not saying it in a bad way.  I'm very content but will be even more so when it's SBR'd.

An H&K auto sear can survive kabooms too...
