To answer 400161's question posted in the Timeline thread, "sorry if this is a retarded question but what is the pending date and how do you know when it is?"
Wait about 45 days after your check has been cashed and call (304) 616-4500 to check your status. They will ask you for the serial number of the NFA item and your name. If you're in the system (and you should be by then) they will relay to you the status of your application, such as date pending and your examiner's name. Can then be anywhere from a month (unlikely) to another six (or more) months before you're approved and receive your stamp. "Pending" just means that it's been assigned to an examiner. |
