Hey guys, I will be getting a fully automatic MAC 10 and wanted to know what is the cheapest but good ammo to use in it. It is chambered for 9mm. Thanks...

I also want to add a supressor down the line. Any suggestions? Any thoughts on the .22lr conversion for the MAC 10? Thanks...

MAC's are rumored to need hot ammo. I've not have a single FTF or jam in my M11 w/Lage upper using American Eagle 124 or 115 as the minimum.

Some subsonic 9mm reloads from GA and some PMC's run 'iffy' in the Uzi and my M11.

HOT AMMO is the key!

Lube that baby, too!

This was stock and w/a Macjac which bumped up the RPM's to 1700/1800.

my m11/9 will eat pretty much anything you can feed it.

for best ROF, i use 147gr subsonics, they give a little more to the cyclic rate

I would disagree with hot ammo on Mac's . I have seen Mac's  with back plates bowed out from a steady diet of hot ammo. mainly on guns built in 86 which are not all reinforced in the back plate area.  I avoid it in my Mac and feed it to my Uzi which will run everything.  My mac feeds the cheap Winchester and Federal, & CCI  just fine, The Remington UMC is weak

Yep. It won't lock the bolt back on my Lage'd M11/9 so it causes a runaway.

Just to be clear. 147 grain is "hot"? So what other grain would be considered good to run without possibility of future problems/ issues that may arise from running hot ammo? Thanks...

I have personally shot a crap-load of the old green laqured Wolf out of my M11/9.

My M11/9 was my first machinegun many years go and I used to be able to get Wolf 9MM for $110 or so if memory serves correctly delivered to the door.

I still shoot quite a bit of the newer Wolf polymer stuff through my guns but havn't put a round of 9MM through my M11 in probably 6 years or more so cant say how the more modern polymer coated Wolf would fare in it but would suspect it would be just fine based on my overall experience.

I hate remington UMC. Everything they make is under powered. Which is too bad. You can usually find it most everywhere. But I do like my WWB. That has always run fine for me.
