I reviewed the FAQ and fully understood the process for obtaining/registering an SBR. However, as far as suppressors go, does the lower have to be engraved and registered on a Form 1 to have a suppressor used on it? Or does one simply fill out a Form 4 with the serial number of the lower the suppressor will be going on?
Sorry if I've asked an obvious question - I read the stickies for a few hours and still don't quite comprehend how the process for obtaining a suppressor goes. Thanks and regards... |

The FAQ makes reference to a suppressor having the same requirements as an SBR lower in the thread about SBR lowers, hence the confusion. On a side note, I'm assuming I need the serial number of the suppressor to go on the form 4, meaning I need to purchase the suppressor and then fill out a form 4 (while having the Class 3 dealer hold onto the suppressor until the paperwork is approved)?
