I got my trust recently notarized and all but wasn't aware that I needed ANOTHER copy to send to the ATF. All this is confusing to me. Anyways does a certified copy mean I have to have a whole 'nother trust document notarized? If so the date would be different and I would have to get the some notary to do it? Or is a copy sufficient? Just not sure what "certified" means in this sense.

Thanks.

No,

A copy is fine... as in a copy of your original certified trust.

Don't send the original. Keep that in a safe.

The ATF allows just a regular ole copy it seems, but that is not a certified copy as is supposed to be sent. There is a difference. Read what I had done below to acquire a certified copy of my trust.

I got my original trust setup and notarized this past weekend. After it was official, I had the notary make a copy of every page. On the copied trust, she stamped every page, 'this is a certified copy of the original" and then she notarized the last page with her offical stamp and embossing. I then mailed the certified copy and put the original in my safe.

I have mine all ready.  One thing puzzles me.  On Schedule A, the one NFA items is listed.  What happens when I add another and another?

Just pull schedule A and replace it with another, including the newest NFA item?  Modify, by adding a new Schedule A, having it notarized?

Also - besides schedule A, is there any other place where the NFA item(s) need to be described or noted as property of the Trust?

Thanks in advance.
